No Literary Talent.

Stephen King, an excellent writer, ranted Stephenie Meyer on an interview with USA Weekend. He said " “A lot of the physical side of it is conveyed in things like, the vampire will touch her forearm or run a hand over skin, and she just flushes all hot and cold. And for girls, that’s a shorthand for all the feelings that they’re not ready to deal with yet.” " (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29001524/) I didn't paraphrase. Is that ok? Going back, I actually agree with King here. Imagine, my fifth grade busmate read Breaking Dawn, which as we all know had a lot of *ehem* *ehem* parts there. If you know what I mean. *wink*, and I don't think that young girls like ages younger than 11 are mature enough to deal with this kind of literature. Although I know that Meyer appeals mostly to girls from ages 10 and above, I don't think that it is appropriate to expose the (really) young girls to this mature content in her book. She did a good job of censoring it though. And by censoring, I mean depicting it nicely, yet not to intense.

That's all I have to say.

Ciao
